Interesting that you should call us poor, Joseph. I feel like the richest person on the planet. The following lyrics from an old hymn say it best.

---------------

I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold.
I’d rather be His than have riches untold.
I’d rather have Jesus than houses or lands.
I’d rather be led by His nail pierced hands.

Than to be a king of a vast domain.
Or be held in sin’s dread sway.
I’d rather have Jesus than anything this world affords today.

You poor people. Why are you praying to a sky-god? What is this, the third century? Honestly.

Mark, keep in mind that C.S. Lewis was once an adamant atheist...until the Holy Spirit finally got through to his heart. We never know when such a conversion will happen.

I join you in praying for Joseph - and all of humanity - to embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's the only chance we have. It's our only hope. And what a great blessing it is!

Thanks for reading and commenting.

That's certainly one way of looking at it, but by no means is it the only way. The fact that there is a hole at all is quite amazing, let alone that it contains a self-aware puddle of water. We theists give credit to God, while you - I'm guessing here - give credit to nobody and nothing. That's certainly your choice, but the true fallacy is in your thinking that your choice is the only way to reasonably reconcile the conundrum. And while I'm not typically a gambling man, I'd be willing to bet that Dr. Hugh Ross (the author of this article) understands the anthropic principle at least as well as you do.

The Bible clearly condemns the sin of homosexuality in both the Old and New Testaments; and yes, many of us believe that the Bible is the Word of God, not directly uttered, but inspired and set forth through human authors.

As for homosexuals being evil and godless, keep in mind that Jesus Christ called all of us evil (Luke 11:13), and Paul says that we all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). So it's not just homosexuals who are in need of forgiveness and salvation.

Thanks for reading and taking time to comment.

I'm sorry, but you misunderstand the anthropic principle. The anthropic principle works the other way - it's described by Douglas Adams as a puddle suddenly becoming conscious and finding that it fits perfectly into its own hole. Obviously the hole was not designed for the puddle, but rather the puddle of water fits perfectly into the particular grooves of a hole because that is precisely what puddles do. That is exactly how life formed, especially on earth. of course we would look down and say "why, we fit so snugly it must have been designed for us"
But this way of thinking is fallacious.

a simple glance at wikipedia will tell you as much.

I'm sorry, but are you suggesting when you say:
"The sections on homosexuality and tolerance can be answered simply and concisely. Speaking the truth and not tolerating sin is the most loving thing we can do. Ignoring evil and promoting ungodliness may be seen as tolerant, but it does not result in anything truly positive."
That homosexuals are evil and godless? Who are you to put words in the mouth of God?

Don't get discouraged, Lisa. You will never regret standing up for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, no matter how many names they call you. If your ministry touches even one person it will all have been worth it! God bless.

This is a very good resource thank you. I have a channel on youtube which is listed on my web site, I recently had to disable comments. Most were form atheists who were very aggressive calling me pretty much every name you could imagine and cussing alot on my page which is why I disabled comments.

They hate that I made a video saying teens can wait till they are married to have sex....and they hate that I believe in God by faith and without what they consider proof- I look forward to reading more on this site after dealing with strong attacks it is great to continue to get knowledge.
